Life hacks for the twenty-something

If your gut tells you something, listen to it.

If your tummy is doing flips before going to work everyday or if you just have a feeling that something is not a good idea – odds are you are going to be right. So make sure you listen to your intuition.

Don’t compare yourself to others.

Make sure you’re focused on doing your own thing, not obsessing over other people. So what if they seem to have their life together, they may be thinking the same about you!

Keep your CV up to date.

Chances are that you’re going to need it at some point, so updating it when you get new certifications or graduate or do more in your job role does come in handy.

Distance yourself from drama.

We’re not in High School anymore – some people like to cause drama for the sake of it and it’s not worth your time or energy.

Make friends with elderly people.

They are the ‘motherlode’ to happiness and you always leave their presence smiling (and full of food).

Just be nice.

The little gestures in life really do make all the different, make that cup of tea and buy that bar of chocolate.

Try to embrace adulthood, we can’t all be Peter Pan.

Be decisive, be independent, learn how to say no and believe in yourself.
